Serving Children from the Monmouth County community on the generously donated campuses of The Rumson Country Day School and Christian Brothers Academy.

Food Security Initiative

Horizons families are more likely to be experiencing food insecurity, let alone in these uncertain times. We have been organizing grocery deliveries for families who have said it would be helpful and that number is growing every day. To date, we have delivered more than 1,000 boxed meals in partnership with our friends at Commvault and more than 1,200 boxes of groceries, including more than 40 this week through the grassroots efforts of volunteers.
How the community can help: Horizons has organized food drop off locations in Rumson at the Rumson Country Day School and Lincroft at CBA, as well as a crew of volunteers able to pick up food donations at homes or other locations throughout Monmouth County. Additionally, folks can shop off this Amazon Wish list and have items shipped directly, purchase grocery store gift cards, or make a donation to support this effort. We also have opportunities to participate in (socially distanced) sorting, pick up, and delivery.
